George’s fundraising extravaganza exceeds £100,000 target!

Superstar Junior fundraiser hero George Hughes on Saturday 28th September 2024 exceeded his phenomenal fundraising target of £100,000 for FHLTA.

For the last 6 years the incredible George has taken on challenges with super mum Louise by his side to reach this target in memory of his Dad, David Hughes who sadly lost his battle following his heart transplant in 2018.

In addition to raising such valuable funds which will help so many heart and lung recipients, those awaiting transplant and their families, George and Louise with support all the way from Tony and Kath have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of organ donation and transplantation – this journey culminated in a fantastic fundraising finale, where his target was exceeded last night at their hometown of Wigan raising over £108,000.

The FHLTA would like to express sincere gratitude to George, Louise and all their family and supporters for making this happen and wish them best wishes and happiness in all they do.
